We have unlocked the box that until now has confined façade designers to using only aluminum or steel – we offer design liberation in the form of a high performing aluminum façade system with a wood interior.
The Timber and Aluminum façade system by Solar Innovations, Inc. uses only the highest quality wood glulams that are manufactured to provide an exceptional appearance. Our systems are available in a wide variety of wood species; Mahogany, White Oak, Douglas Fir, White Ash, Hard Maple, Hemlock, and Pine. Specialty products such as SVL, bamboo, and many species offered with FSC certifications can help to satisfy LEED design strategies. High performing, very low VOC content, factory-applied finishes protect the wood and offer a wide array of color pigmentations to meet any aesthetic flair and green design. The aluminum component of the system is designed to ensure that water is isolated from the wood, providing superior longevity and satisfaction. Rigorous in-house and independent testing has verified a high level of air, water, thermal, and structural performance, even in demanding hurricane zones, where only the toughest systems will do. The SI5000W system has achieved an approximate U-value of 0.20 and can reach even better values with thermal modifications upon request. In order to ensure the highest level of quality, the systems are factory-prefabricated prior to shipment. Since Solar Innovations, Inc. controls the design and fabrication of the entire system, specifying the system is a simple, single-step process.

Among these partners, Wood Trade provides unique Douglas Fir SVL glulam products. For consistency in design, SVL wood products are also available in matching flooring and panel options.
