Solar Innovations, Inc. recently shipped two pre-assembled Succah skylights for a private residence in Montreal, Canada. The project was completed in conjunction with Affordable Windows and Doors, one of Solar Innovations, Inc.’s dealers. An amazing feature of Succah skylights are the ability to have massive panels open vertically inward, outward, or almost any configuration a customer would desire. Hardware for this project included four 10 inch stroke hydraulic cylinders, a 2 spool prince hydraulic control valve, an electrical power unit, a hand pump (to override the electrical power unit), and a control box containing hydraulic hose assemblies. The hydraulics allow for the skylight panels to open and close with ease with a hand pump backup in case electricity is lost. Succah skylights are just one example of retractable skylights Solar Innovations, Inc. offers. Retractable skylights have the ability to open allowing the sun inside the residence during the day and allow residents to enjoy gazing at the stars in the luxury of their own homes at night.
