Solar Innovations, Inc. recently completed a research greenhouse project at Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts. The inverted straight eave, double pitch greenhouse included two hip ends, interior curtain walls, a full gable end, and a partial gable end with a curtain wall system below. This massive structure was constructed on the top of the existing Mars Center for Science and Technology. The structure’s overall dimensions included a projection of 34', a width of 51', and a structure height of 18'. The framing was finished in a custom silver gray paint as selected by the customer. The greenhouse serves as a learning tool for Wheaton College students.
